Tue, Aug 14: Bettmeralp, Switzerland

Hotel (2 nights):  Panorama

We rode the train to Betten,

and then a gondola up to the village of Bettmeralp.  We ate lunch at the hotel.  There is a cute church and lovely view right across the street from the hotel. 

Mary and Paul explored the village.  We had a "milkshake" – milk with flavoring added, shaken, not stirred, and no ice cream.  

We ate dinner at our hotel.  As is fairly common, our waiter spoke several languages – German, Russian, English, and a little Italian and French.
