Hotel (4 nights):  Quadratscha Swiss

We took the train to Samedan Switzerland (better views on right side).
The train left Innsbruck, Austria at 9:54 am, and arrived in Sargans, Switzerland at 12:23 pm.

We had only ten minutes to transfer trains at Sargans with all of our luggage.
The train left Sargans at 12:33 pm, and arrived in Chur at 12:52pm.  We ate lunch near the train station at Chur.

The next train time was open (Swiss Rail Pass) so we could take our time to catch the Chur to Samedan train.  The train ride had excellent scenery.

The stretch on the Albula line, between Bergün and Preda contains what is considered to be the most ingenious railway ever built, with 2 straight tunnels, 3 spiral loop tunnels, 2 helical tunnels, and 6 viaducts while it loops twice around itself to scale the height difference of 1,364 feet.

More photos from train to Samedan ...

When we arrived Samedan, we walked around the quaint village.  Very quiet on Sunday.  Turned out to be quiet every day, although a little livelier during the week.  Samedan is just outside of St. Moritz.
